Hopefully next time you learn your lesson before you kill someone driving at such idiotic speeds.

my buddy whos training to be a cop told me to do this when i got my speeding ticket.
1)fight it in court 2)if the cop doesnt show up plead not guilty (remember that cops get paid to go to court for the tickets they give out) 3)if the cop does show plead guilty with a reason. most likely they will lower the fine and drop the demerit points. 4)if all that goes wrong time to pull out a millie lol kidding!!!! |

Now 99 in 50, that is lawyer territory and even then, damn, im not sure how easy it is to get out of something like that. Couple years ago I got nailed. 20 over (yes, 20) on the 401 going with the flow of traffic. Had my pops in the truck (4x4) and got pinched. Hired one of those para legal companies. All they did was cost me money, didnt even plead me down, nada. Complete waste. When I fought my 'improper muffler' ticket on my own in Peel, I had the case tossed out. Not because I am good, but likely because the judge figured I had watched too much Law and Order and was wasting everyone's time looking like a tard :) |
If you request trial the prosecutor can request an amendment that if you are convicted (guilty) at court you are guilty of the original non reduced ticket.
22 over is demerit points and is worse for your insurance. might be worth paying $250 for an ex cop to try to make it go away. Their chances are better. |

It will at least buy you sometime ( maybe another renewel) , if you are lucky enough they may drop your ticket good luck |
Ok so I put in a call to Xcopper for an inquiry.
They said if it's already reduced and they request disclosure, the crown normally requests the amendment for the original non reduced offence (so you get busted for what he reduced it from). They actually suggested not using their service as they want happy customers, not ones who pay and then get convicted. They suggested ask for court, and see if the cop shows. 13 over will affect insurance but it's considered a minor offence so if your record is otherwise clean then you should be ok. Interesting point, court is not actually considered "trial" at this point, unless you actually request the officer to take the stand. If you plead guilty in court you still get the reduced ticket. I learned something from Xcopper today. Play safe. |
fight the power lol, take it to court thats going to buy you sometime before you turn 20 lol before the insurance rapes u

your insurance rate goes up even if you get a break from the judge, if you are convicted or even if your fine is reduced, it still counts as a conviction. your insurance rate will go up unless its dropped. it stays in your record for 3 years. your demerit points don't matter to your insurance company, that's just for the ministry of transportation. Now, your insurance company counts seat belt tickets against you too. only ticket that doesnt count against your rate is parking tickets. good luck bro, plea not guilty; most likely the cop wont show up. if cop shows up to court, you can try speaking to him before they call you in for your opening statement.
