Am I The Only One With Handwriting On The Insurance Card?!

Sorry I have to vent.

I just got pulled over for a burnt out tail light. Cop asks for the papers.

I give him my d/l, ownership, and insurance.

He tells me that the insurance looks fake.
His reasons:
-the insurance period is 10 months long
-the card is hand written

****** guy gives me a ticket for "FAILING TO SURRENDER INSURANCE"

HOW THE **** DID I FAIL TO SHOW HIM MY INSURANCE?!~?!?!~!@?~
HE SAYS JUST BRING IT TO COURT. OMFG

I explain to him that this is how I got it in the mail. And that it SAYS "MOTOR VEHICLE LIABILITY INSURANCE CARD"

NOT "TEMPORARY"

IM SO GONNA OWN THIS COP IN COURT.
PWN HIM I TELL YA!

So does anyone else have insurance cards like this????

BTW insurance company is
ING FACILITY

Broker/agent is
INSURANCELAND

ING facility DOES NOT handwrite insurance.
it might have been a 30 day temporary that is handwritten by the broker but NOT ING.
they are official printed.
your going to loose the fight on this ticket unless u call ur insurance and talk to them and once u get that sorted out u have them write out a written statement attentioning it to the court and then u will win if not ur BIG time ****ed. if u dont go for court its 110.00 it might not be big but that goes against insurance record.

ING doesn't usually print the cards, the broker does ... so, to say ING doesn't handwrite their pink slips is obvious, none of the companies who use brokers do ...

I'm also with ING. My first "TEMP" insurance slip was also hand written with by my broker. I got my actual slip in the mail from ING with all the info printed on the form. From what I remember, ING has a wait for 3 months to get the actual slip.

The only thing that matters is that you DO have insurance. Ask your broker for a copy of your insurance application and confirmation from their head office if possible and bring that temp slip with you to court.

by logic, i don't think any insurance paper will be handwritten.... how valid when something is handwritten and not officially print out?
