An Experiment in Time
I finally got some time today to test the macro feature of my new Tamron 70-300mm lens. For the subject, I couldnt think of anything better than my wrist watch..lol.
The setup consisted of my tag heuer watch placed on a black nylon cloth on the kitchen table. Light setup included only an ordinary study lamp with a filament bulb (yellowish) while all other lights were shut off. The camera was mounted on a tripod with the lens extended all the way down to 300mm in macro mode. I mainly shot in TV mode and experimented with different exposure lengths...the white balance was set to tungsten...to diffuse the incandescent light from the lamp and make it look more natural.

Only after downloading these shots...i realized how badly scratched my watch is..haha. Who needs a macro lens now? Hope you guys like the pics.
