True definition of the "projects/slums/ghetto".
Nice pics.

i dont know whats more mind boggling

the fact that the bronx looked like that in the 70s or the fact that it looks nothing like that today.

Robb 05-Feb-2010 02:45 PM

Detroit and some parts of Michigan are nearing that today

shlammed 05-Feb-2010 03:05 PM

ya but the difference is that detroit in itself has gone to **** over the years...meaning the entire city.

why this blows my mind is that this is part of New York City which is supposed to be the greatest city on earth.

D.T.P 01-Jun-2010 07:34 AM

that's amazing how much it changed.
the name doesn't fit the area if people remember how it was back then.

Climax_R 01-Jun-2010 07:57 AM

"it's a hard knock life for us... it's a hard knock life for us...." that is what's running through my head as I see these....

I'd do 3 steps.

1)Evacuate (Everyone gtfo)
2)Level (By level I mean bomb the **** out of the area)
3)Rebuild (Walmart supercentre, YMCA, Adecco Job Agency office, Apartments etc)

Thank you.

d16y8 02-Jun-2010 01:28 PM

I agree, except I'd plant a forest.
