True definition of the "projects/slums/ghetto".
Nice pics. |
i dont know whats more mind boggling
the fact that the bronx looked like that in the 70s or the fact that it looks nothing like that today. |

Detroit and some parts of Michigan are nearing that today
|
ya but the difference is that detroit in itself has gone to **** over the years...meaning the entire city.
why this blows my mind is that this is part of New York City which is supposed to be the greatest city on earth. |

that's amazing how much it changed.
the name doesn't fit the area if people remember how it was back then. |
"it's a hard knock life for us... it's a hard knock life for us...." that is what's running through my head as I see these....
|
I still wouldn't go there

do you not realize how many ppl live in poverty in NY. Bronx,Brooklyn, staten island, coney brownsville etc. Its not the way ppl think it is.
That wasn't the point. the point is the proximity to downtown/manhattan, rich people...etc etc. |

also, NYC of the 70s is nothing close to what it is today. i.e. I just walked parts of Harlem a few weeks ago that 20-30 years ago no white man would have ever stepped foot around. |
