thats stupid....it won't serve as a deterant, because most people won't give a ****....what they should have done is donate it to a high school shop class with the objective for them to return it to stock or something.....then sell it off at auction for charity, I think serves teh same purpose, get the car out of a street racers hands "sending a message", and helps the community....
but our elected officials are morons and apprently can't come up with a half decent idea so they use the"lets crush stuff" approach...
and besides I would have taken that EF, haha

finally that blue eg has been put to rest.
back when i used to work at honda i had to see that car sitting in the bodyshop lot everyday while the court case was still happening.
nothing special tho since it was all stripped mostly interior wise.

I don't see a problem with it, you street race, you loose your car. so if you like your car, don't street race with it.
But the case against street racers would have to be concrete, i'd be worried about police embellishing their cause. But I see this as simple, you like your car, race in one of the legal races auto-x, drag, etc or we'll **** up your car.
Also if street racing and you kill someone, your car being wrecked is the least of your worries. I like the idea, though i'm not sure it will have a major impact, it all helps reduce street racing.
