Ranger Prospect Cherepanov Collapses On Bench
New York Ranger prospect Alexei Cherepanov collapsed on the bench at or near the end of Omsk's Kontinental Hockey League game today.
Medical personnel were attempting to revive him.
No further details at this point.
Cherepanov was drafted by the Rangers in the 1st round, 17th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft.

After reading http://alexovetjkin.blogspot.com/200...s-sent-to.html it seems Jagr may of caught him with an elbow and Alexei may of passed away...this is very sad if true

According to comments on SportBox.ru it was Jagr's elbow. Jarg is Cherepanov's teammate. Apparently Jarg didn't see him. Afterwards Jagr was shouting "Wake up Alexei" and was in tears.
