to someone that doesn't know much about civics they probably wouldn't give it a second look on the street but for most of us we can look at it and just notice the type r parts........ what i really love about this car.... is the power folding heated mirrors... damn rare item here... one of the nicest eg sedans i've seen...

the point of the post wasnt the fact that its got jdm parts, but that its an all around clean car WITH rare parts, and it's one of a kind.

it doesnt look like from jap...from the plates, it looks like malaysia or phillipines. rear ITR sedan seats look nice but i dont get how he managed to get that arm rest so far back..lol

i know that there's a short and long armrest for egs..... seen a few of the long ones for sale on ebay before... im not sure what type of 5gen they are from but i do know that he didn't just push it all the way back... lol... im not sure how he got it with the type r cover though..

yes they are. the DB8s were made in limited quantity so the parts are hard to find as well. alot of parts are the same as the type r coupe but there were still some differences..like these rear seats.

yup, i was trying to find a set of the rear seats for my EJ1 for the longest time (one-peice rear seat, not 50/50 split). here's a pic of a 4-door ITR (i think they're only made in the '96-97 years):

it's a Honda from Japan.. who cares. over there it's just the equivilent of us saying oh there goes a 25th anniversary Camaro. Not something you may see everyday, but not that rare. I think alot of Honda people (not attacking anyone specifically intentionally, lets clear that up RIGHT NOW), are too caught up in "JDM" things, and often make their car what we over here would normally view as ugly, but since it's JDM it's "cool". Just my .02

its not just a honda from japan... no sedan comes stock like that... and its not that its JDM.... that sedan is basically an integra type r in an eg sedan body....that car wasn't made to look good... it was made to have all the top type r parts....

and i don't think people are caught up in JDM.... people are more caught up in RARE parts for there car that give it the extra convenience, performance or looks. A top end civic or integra here doesn't come close to a top end modle there. So we don't go crazy over JDM. Its just that JDM has better parts for our car then cdm or usdm have. I also think that the fact that civic and integra parts are so interchangeable from certain gens contributes to the whole "jdm phase". Also its not just jdm there are other 5th gen civics from other countrys that have some sweet as parts i would love to have for my car. Like the vti and its rear seats with headrests. You'd be surprised but an eg hatch with rear head rests looks sweet.
