Ive used BrownBread with great success. also ive heard people talking about using some plumbing pipe insulation. Its pretty much the same thing. one side is shiny and the back has peel away layer for sticky side. Heard it works great too.

little update, since i havent updated in time lol.

I be getting the black on black gucci for the door inserts and headliner in a few weeks. I have to order it next week and it takes 7 days though my buddys custom interior shop = ballin

I wont be putting in the da seat until next week ( still have to custom fab/weld the rails) and ill be dynamating the whole car next saturday. reason this project is taking so long is I am and picky bastard lol if im going to do it I have to do it big.

when you guys see the finish product will all **** bricks .

My plan is to work on the inside first than do body paint and..... jline rims with the already swapped jdm d15b vtec ( by your truly) than slap a turbo kit on that sohc'er my goal is to get my eh2 in super street.

this weekend I did 75% of my hatch in dynamat extreme and its sounds way better as in 10x more quite meaning it doesnt sound at all lol its like im driving in a new car. I did the roof the floor and the hatch spare tire area and around the rear strut area.

I'll be doing the rest this weekend, my word dynamat is for real.

Also installed the dash and it looks great now I need a jdm dc2 steering wheel to have the front completely black.

Thumbs up Update wit pics:)

so I got a lot of this project done but still not 100%
anyway got the headliner in and the whole car has been covered in Dynamat xtreme and when I say whole car I mean whole f>>kin car over $400 spent..ewwwww but you gotta pay to play as they say.

back to the project and where it stands, I didnt get Gucci fabric as I wanted to keep it clean with grown up feel and Gucci doesn't tie in with the JDM theme since its from Italy and not JAPAAAN plus my GF really hated it lol called me a try hard lol shes jokes.

I just put black fabric on the headliner and but a blue cargo cover and did the same to that, it looks amazing

All I need now to complete this never ending, should have only taken me 2 weeks tops project is....

Bride black on black gradation fabric for my door inserts, and seats front and back

black dc2 steering wheel

new oem black carpet

black seat belts and clips for front only( driver/pass)

so Ill post pics tonight and tell me what you think, and if you have any of the parts listed that I need P/M me and maybe we can make a deal

Thanks for looking bwahhhhhh

just picked up on this thread, can't wait to see the final product. did you get your rear seats yet? if not rsx rears are a pretty easy swap that are leather in the first place, the bottom doesn't fit 100% so you may wanna use what ever bottom you have but the tops just swap the frame inside with the stock rears and everything lines up perfect. I have them in my hatch and they look sweet. so nice my front knock off recaros look like crap next to them.

PICS PICS PICS enjoy

The dash needed to be wiped down has some dust on it, but still looks sick

Custom black headliner as well as black A & B pillers and upper plastic looks stock.

The rear looks oem and i deleted the rear seat belts as of now my eh2 is a 2 seater.

Picked up this cargo cover from a junkyard 25 bucks.......i'll take it and then put the same black fabric as the headliner on it, it really ties it in and looks true OEM.

With the hatch open you can see all the Dynamat Xtreme this car is fully covered, roof floor hatch etc, will be doing the doors on day of install since Im running new wires no point putting it on just to take it off.

A Shot from the cargo cover to the front shows you truly how amazing this interior looks.

SOOOO what do you guys/ gals think of my work?

so far it's very nice, my hatch came black stock, except for the upper parts like the a/b/c pillars and roof liner of course. All in all I like what you've done so far. Looks like the driver door was red? if so I'd get that painted better while it's apart. you gonna do a build thread when you get on to other things like boost and body stuff? hope so!

^ yes I did paint the climate control, but I taped off the areas that show the heat / fan speed. it looks stock ill get a better pic of it.

as for the headliner just 3m super 90 adhesive. spary both the headliner and fabric and smooth out with your hands, works best with 2 ppl.

I really like this DIY, I think you will be really happy with it.

I plan on doing basically the same thing, one thing I would have done differently though is done this last. Right now im rebuilding the suspension replacing every moving compenent with bushings and literally every bolt has needed the torch and impact to come out. Unfortunately all the torching was causing a lot of smoke in the cabin, im assuming this was the oem sound deadening smoking away. After seeing your beautiful lining of dynomatt it just reminded me of this so make sure you keep that in mind and be careful when working on your suspension!
