most cops have a jammer dectector tho thst how u get ****ed its not the fact that u have a detector if u have a jammer they know and u get charged with haveing that instead

People need to think before they purchase such things, just because you have radar or laser jammed doesn’t mean you should push it, use it to DETECT. Once you get the detection lower your speed and turn it OFF. When the police car radars you he/she will see that you are following the speed limit, and you will pass by like any other driver, once you see you passed them, turn it back on.
And use it wisely, just because you have a detector doesn’t mean unnecessary speeding all the time, use it for your cruising times, where you might speed a little, people abuse power too much, yet you can have a detector and never get busted again, its not that it doesn’t work people don't use their brains.

iv never understood the point of the lazer/radar detectors for your car. the cops gun shoots in a strait line so if your detector is picking up a signal they already have you in there sights.

It dosen`t matter if they hide behind things. A radar detector can pick of signals from many kilometres away, even cop cars in the opposite highway lanes, they have 180 degree signal catch, some new advanced ones can even detect rear.
How many of you even own one. just curious, i would think you would know a radar detector can catch a signal well before you even see a cop car, regard less if its hidden behind a wall.

put it this way.. if you can detect a radar (cop) they can detect your radar (pulled over) /thread

btw. here's some FYI. and you can ask any lawyer to verify.
if you get pulled over for a radar detector or jammer, unplug it, and hide it in a pocket or down your pants totally.
during a vehicle search for such a device, it's ILLEGAL for them to conduct a search and seizure on a PERSON for such a device if suspected they have used one.
just a little FYI..nothing like getting a cop ruined on an illegal search/seizure charge

So if I flash a handgun to another driver. Cops pull me over. Since I have the gun hidden in my pants they can't search me, and only my vehicle?
I think your wrong.

you could alway put it in your glovebox..
but that doesn't matter anyways only some guns can detect that they are being jammed not all and they aren't jammed when they point it at your car
they are jammed in the area of your car so if you are in a pack of cars they can't tell who it is
they have totally stealth systems now that can be hidden in the dash and use dash lights to indicate there is cop ahead I've seen installed in a rx-8 it was mint

However your missing the point. Since the police officer pulled you over for a radar warning device which is illegal. Since police have radar detector detectors now he has reasonable grounds to conduct a search.
Now you flash a gun to another drive and it is reported. Now the police has reasonable grounds to pull you over and search you/vehicle. BTW Mostly likely you'll be told to step out of your car at gun point and about to get your *** tazered.

go do some ****ing research before posting a ****ing stupid comment. there's a HUGE difference between a glock and a radar detector.
the searching for a radar device ONLY applies to the car itself. go grab your dumbass a copy of the HTA, and read.
edit: here, i found it for your dumbass.
Speed measuring warning devices
79 In this section,
“speed measuring warning device” means any device or equipment designed or intended for use in a motor vehicle to warn the driver of the presence of speed measuring equipment in the vicinity and includes any device or equipment designed or intended for use in a motor vehicle to interfere with the effective operation of speed measuring equipment. 1996, c. 33, s. 12.
Speed measuring warning device prohibited
(2) No person shall drive on a highway a motor vehicle that is equipped with or that carries or contains a speed measuring warning device. 1996, c. 33, s. 12.
Powers of police officer
(3) A police officer may at any time, without a warrant, stop, enter and search a motor vehicle that he or she has reasonable grounds to believe is equipped with or carries or contains a speed measuring warning device contrary to subsection (2) and may seize and take away any speed measuring warning device found in or upon the motor vehicle. 1996, c. 33, s. 12.
Forfeiture of device
(4) Where a person is convicted of an offence under this section, any device seized under subsection (3) by means of which the offence was committed is forfeited to the Crown. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 79 (4).
Penalty
(5) Every person who contravenes subsection (2) is guilty of an offence and on conviction is liable to a fine of not less than $100 and not more than $1,000. R.S.O. 1990, c. H.8, s. 79 (5)
SEE how it says the police can without warrant search a MOTOR VEHICLE if they believe is equipped with a device? bingo. there is NO right given to them to search a person. my law teacher in college was seargeant of NRP - and he told us straight out, it's ILLEGAL for them to search you for a radar device, if that's why you've been stopped.
so, rather than compare a LOADED GUN to a radar detector, ****ing read before making ******* comments.
