For one the headlights are from a coupe...and not a sedan.
The front fenders and rear quarters are qider (you can't tell from the pic)
Mirrors are different.
Bumpers and sideskirts are different.
Rims etc etc etc.
If you got the 2 sitting next to eachother then you would really notice.
I've sat in the new M3 coupe.
And LOTS of people think it looks the exact same as a regular 328i or 335i.
But they look A LOT different when you actually get them side by side.
Also checked out the new X6. (google it...very nice)
EDIT: Kind of upset they didn't give this one the carbon fibre roof.

I definitely prefer the coupe. Have they released the MSRP yet? (just curious)
The reviews I have read on the new M3's have been mixed, and I must say that the e46 styling still appeals to me more, but maybe this one will grow on me. Too bad its heavier than the e46 though, with the cf roof and lightweight engine I thought they were going to at least keep it the same weight. This car has gone from being a lightweight sports car to more of a GT.
Maybe the 1-series will fill that void. But I have to say that I can't stand the 1-series, it just looks so chubby and tall. 300hp+ or not, that thing looks fugly.

also I was at the BMW drive event for the 1 series (all my friends work at BMW headoffice in whitby). So i don't know if that counts either
I just don't think it looks any better than a regular 3 series. Its what European car companies do (Itatians are the exception). They don't like to make big changes to the appearance of their cars.
I love the 6 and the Z4... hate the new 3,5,7....
1 series not a big fan of... looks nice, drives awesome.... still too going to be too expensive for such a tiny car

^^ yes, it worth the wait, i hate financing, so i want to pay cash, i could get one right now, but i rather get my masters, save some money start my own business and sit on my ***, and then really enjoy the cars i dreamed of, till then,lol the old school sentra and maby a bike for the summer and sometimes walking.lol

Personally i think the new C class AMG is more attractive than the BMW's M3.. and the and back to what some people were saying about reliability german cars suck on that and if people have the money get a german car they only lease they never buy because they always want new stuff...
