imported_bananax 03-Sep-2007 10:14 PM

I highly doubt that.

From what I just searched:

Average is 13-15 city

and highway is about 20.

The DOD Vortech v8's get 30mpg

my friend had a 300c, and my city MPG is better then his highway ;P

30mpg means its about 8L / 100km, my friends 1 year old 300c, gets about 400km to a full 77l? tank, its an over hyped number, my B16a2 gets me an average of 12km/L which is 30mpg 60highway/40city

DOD motors don't work that well probably because the car they are in, is heavy, if they put a V8 into a 3000lb package, then maybe it could provide an actual 30mpg or higher otherwise you pay to play, they provide a bit of a boost in MPG as it seems so far, and I heard some people complaining that the transition is rough, the 300c seemed seemless though, but still not 30mpg.

who gives a flying **** how many MPG a car gets.

Cynikal.Mindset 04-Sep-2007 07:43 PM

all the new dod engines are seamless when they transfer from 4, 6 and 8cyl modes...it was the old caddi 4-6-8 engines that were whack and hard harsh engagments

someone who buys a civic? or someone who isn't looking to race at every stoplight? ME? I'm sure alot of people do specially those who have long commutes. why is it that everytime I read your posts it's some sort of ignorant comment?

imported_J_MAC 05-Sep-2007 11:32 AM

let me rephrase my post....

if you would rather have a car that gets 30mpg then a car that has the ability to do wheelies.... then your a fool.

Cynikal.Mindset 05-Sep-2007 11:40 AM

you're a fool to have a fuel effecient car rather than one that wheelie off the line???

ummmmm...okay

wow, you just reinforced my previous post! thanks... I'll take the 30mpg any day over a dragster that can do wheelies, and if I was going to invest in a race car, it wouldn't be a drag setup!

by the way, the wheelie is not impressive at all, the whole point of that picture is the fact that the amount of tq coming out of that engine twisted the frame
