Quick question on cleaning IACV

Can anyone tell me how to remove the harness on the IACV? Is it just by brute force or is there a clip? Also, must I disconnect the radiator hoses at the bottom of it? The clamps on my hoses ceased and rusted out, I either cut the clamps and replace them with new ones? or do I just leave the hose on there and spray the heck outta the IACV with brake cleaner? Thanks! (not very mechanical savvy)

Depending on how much room you have, you can leave everything connected, undo the 2 bolts, shove it to the side and spray in the IACV.

The harness connector is like anyother connector. There is a little tab you have to lift then pull it off. It's just like the TPS connector.

My brake cleaner comes with a plastic straw nostle stick...if I don't take off the radiator lines, wouldn't brake cleaner go into the rad or mix with the coolant? Will that be harmful to the car?

Actually, nvr mind, thinking about it makes me feel like it was a dumb dumb question...Coolant doesn't go thru the valve, I'm so silly. It goes thru the jackets of the valve.

^ S'all good. We all have those moments.

Good luck with cleaning your IACV. Hopefully it doesn't give you too much trouble.
