You can get it done at a Honda or Acura dealer for around $100 if you don't know how, or don't want to do it yourself.
|
Brad, check with me, I am in on Wednesday night and can do it for you if the valve are not to worn.
|
thanks guys, but its on my summer car so i cant take it anywhere... i gotta do it where its stored :)

I did a write up a lil while ago... should be able to find it in a search... prolly best words to search for will be "feeler gauge"
|
Hey Brad if you need some help at the storage place, I could come down on my day off if you would like???

Actually my car has the same problem and it had it since about 2 years ago. I went twice to Honda and once to a specialized Honda place in Brampton and nobody could fix the problem. All these guys claim to have "adjusted" the valves, but every morning when it's cold the engine ticks for about 1-2 minutes before it warms up. Not sure what was actually adjusted in the engine, but if there is a way to adjust this, and if it's easy, I'm willing to give it a try.

piston slap makes noise :) so do really cold injectors
pop the hood and listen with zen-like focus. let the melody penetrate your scull... envision the motion of the rotating assembly. it's not always valves... |
