2000 Civic SE tune up

...so i recently got a 2000 Civic SE with 150kms and i want to do a basic tune-up on it (spark plugs, wires, cap and rotor)

just want some suggestions and what brands and where to get the parts

do spark plugs come "pre-gapped"? and how much should i be spending on parts?

...this is just a basic civic, all stock and just want to keep it in decent running condition.

thanks!

Spark plug wires, spark plugs, distributor cap, distributor rotor, PCV valve, air filter, fuel filter. In terms of how much to spend, call up Honda to get prices, and that should be the absolute most you will be spending.

It's always best to gap the plugs even if they are 'pre-gapped.' Sometimes in shipping, plugs can take a hard impact and require regapping.

At 150K, you may want to check if the timing belt and water pump has been done too.

NGK wires and plugs. NGK G-power plugs are good. Always gap plugs before installing. Many different types of cars use the same plugs and require different gaps, so the pre-gapped thing in a myth. Gapping tool is cheap and good to have in your tool box.

Don't by cheap knock off brand stuff. You get what you pay for. Replace stock air filter with K&N drop in filter (if you have stock air box). If you have a CAI or short-ram, disregard.

Good luck, have fun!
