wtf?????

Ok, me and my buddy joe started running all the wires for my system today. we got to lazy to do the doors so we had everything run, but i took the fuse apart for the man 4awg power wire so that there wouldnt be any current running through it. Now, I don't know why, but when my car idles, it idles really low and it does that **** where the lights brighten up when you push the gas....how does that make sense when nothing is draing any power from anywhere?

Ok, the power part for the 4awg is connected to the battery....BUT the other side is disconnected at the fuse...

the remote wire is hooked up to the deck waiting to go to an amp

has nothing to do with the wire run

the reason your lights are getting brighter when you rev the car is directly related to the output from the Alt, either your charging system just decided to take a dump at the same time or you have another issue

check out the connections on the battery to make sure there ok, as well as a good solid ground on the battery too

even if it was the only thing that would happen is blow out the remote lead on the HU, you woulnd't get the symptoms he is experiencing

as long as you cap the lead or wrap it with a crimp cap and electrical tape you will be fine

but if you blow it then your SOL

if you remove the wire from the battery terminal does this "problem" go away. On just about every car the headlights get brighter when you push the gas pedal.

dude i know this sounds stupid but after having your doors open working on your car for a while you may have lost some charge from your battery causing the dimming and the increased noticability of your alternator playing catch up.
