What's this crap on my window?
I've noticed that there's some kind of dirt that's been collecting on the inside of my windows. It feels rough it kinda looks like glue. It's only on my front windows, more on the drivers side. It's taken me about 45 mins to take off only about 1/3 of the gunk. I've been scrubbing so hard with windex, that my arms are tired now. Does anyone know what it is and what products I can use to try and remove it easier?

Actually, all I used was windex. Maybe I'll try it with part vinegar tomorrow. What part mixture of vinegar to Windex should I use? I also tried a bit of rubbing alcohol, but no use.

Trust me Tom its smoke...
Use a 2:1 ratio of Vinegar to water...
I used a bit of CLR last time and it seemed to work too...
And rub like a ****....
Its on the other windows as well...
But you usually don't face them when your smoking and driving...
I would clean them all...
I do mine once every 3 months....
Wanna invent a smokers window cleaner product???
We could be rich....
Might wanna ask Neil if he knows any detailing "tricks" too...

I clean my windows every week so it never gets that bad. My tach has a huge brown spot on it from my vent blowin smoke on it. Make sure you clean even more regularly in the winter.
Regular cleaning will solve all problems.

Problem solved.
I was planning on taking my tint off anyways, so just about an hour ago, instead of trying to take that crap off, I decided to take the tint off instead. So far so good. I've taken off the front windows, and now I'm halfway done cleaning up the glue on the driver's side. So far, it doesn't seem that hard to take it off. Pretty easy actually, just time consuming.

Windex has ammonia in it, which eats away at the thin film of tint. Next thing you know it starts to bubble up, and looks like that cheap "do it yourself" tint from CT.

What SHOULD I clean it with anyway?

It doesnt evaporate as quick as Windex so you'll need some more paper towels handy. But for the harshness you save on your tint, its worth that one extra wipe.
