What Do You Think About This Alarm?

I am thinking of getting this alarm for my 96 hatch. I don't want to spend lots of money on an alarm, just something that will do the trick. I also like the lock actuators. My question about those is this: Since on my car, I have to lift the handle in order to lock the driver-side door, will this interfere with the actuator at all? Will it still work normally on the driver-side lock? thanks.

Autoloc Alarm System

Edit: broken link fixed.
Edit2: New alarm system picked out below.

Perfect, thanks. Does anyone have any input on the alarm system itself?

(Auto-Watch Blue Sucks : EHR should be ashamed

sorry, i can't directly comment on the alarm you are talking about...

but i will say that "Auto-Watch Blue" is a crappy alarm system.

This is the kind that EHR (East Hamilton Radio) will try to unload on you. The range for the activation of this alarm sucks.

Yeah, the alarm works, and it does the job, but for what they charge you, the remote looks like something you would buy at a dollar store.

I hope this helps, somewhat

it's not just your car that does that, to lift the handle to lock it

heh, I know . Just thought it would conflict with the actuator

Alright, I have taken your guys' advice and am looking into a better alarm system.

THIS ONE

My question now is, will THESE actuators work with that system; and do I need any extra hardware to get them to work together? Thank you.

I guess my next question would be how much is it on average to have an alarm system installed?

Between $75.00 to $150.00 it depends where you go and what you want hooked up.

i actually have that alarm and its running great, but what do actuators do is it like power locks? so i could just buy those actuators and hook em up to the brain of my alarm and the power locks will function for two doors?

i dun meen to hate on u'r alarm thing man..but be careful of what u buy..u'r buyiong an alarm to protect u'r investment (your car) and the last thing u wanna do is cheep out on an alarm system..IMHO you should look into a compustar or a viper alarm system, u can get it locally, and their top notch stuff
