hey guys

a friend of mine has this system on his car...it's just a basic alarm/keyless entry, no pager...

anyway, I tried to search all over yahoo n such, no luck on this model at all...

basically here's the problem:

he was driving a few days ago, parked his car, n pressed hte button to lock it on his remote, noticed it made no noise, so he thought it was just that he silenced it, turns out that it's jus tlocking and unlocking...no alarm...no sound...pretty much like the "valet mode" in my compustar pager alarm....

now i'm assuming that his viper alarm is probably in a "valet mode"...is there a way to chang eit back to normal? his remote has two buttons, we tried pressin both, doin combinations, cant figure it out....

should i just look for the brain and reset it? this is assuming that all alarm systems have brains, not just 2ways(sorry i dont know much about alarms, so not sure if they all have brains or not)

anyway, any help would be appreciated thanks guys.

hey, k it did work...but a few days later he was getting out of his car, and pressed the lock button, and it just did the same thing...no sound, just locked, the scanner light didnt come up again , just as if it were in valet mode again...we tried the "lock unlock lock" didnt work...treid diff combinations as well...i went under the sterring wheel area and found the brain, and pressed the reset button(the blue square button) but nothing happened...i held it for a few seconds, nothing...so now dont know what to do...any suggestions???

bump, still not working...hmmm...
