Ultrastart vs Compustar

I have been looking to get a 2-way remote starter for my 2005 Acura EL. The quotes I have been getting are all over the place in regards to price.
Most shops around here install Compustar but Noize Boyz in Aurora only installs Ultrastart.
I've never heard of Ultrastart. Has anyone here used this brand? How does it compare to Compustar starters? The Ultrastart would cost me less installed.
Also some guys have said soldering joints is important yet some installers say its not necessary so I don't know if it matters to much, what do you guys think?

Never heard of the company either....

I have compustar pro2W9000... had it for almost 5 years. After you adjust the shock sensor--- wayyyy to sensitive, gotta dial it down, I have no complaints. Love it, would spend a little more $$ and stick to name brand shiznit= compustar or viper imo.

Dono where you live but Lockdown on nugget ave in Scarborough is my shop of choice for alarm/rs installs. Ask for Jeff.

ive had a compustar alarm for a few yrs now, but am now swapping it out for the compustar gps drone. alarms only stop punks, not real car thieves.

I'd go for the compustar. I just finished installing one of their FT-6200s units in the wife's car and it was quick and simple. Fairly cheap too, $149 (I think) at Future shop..

Hi,

We are an authorized dealer for Compustar and we are located in Richmond Hill. I know of both and both are ok. Compustar is more reliable and more known.

I would choose Compustar.

If you would like a quote send us a pm and we can help you out

We have been a Compustar dealer for 11 years
