tri way 2 channel?

I need an amp to power a set of front speakers and a a single sub. Is it ok to use a tri way 2 channel amp for this setup or is it better to get a 4 channel amp?

4 channel
only because you have more of a window to tune the sub better etc

tri way is alright but its a pain to get working correctly and will be a bit more of a headache

4 channel,
When you go bigger later (you know you will) then you can get a dedicated sub amp and use the 4 channel for a component front end, or front/rear.
