subwoofer help

me and my frind were putting his system back in his car today, because he let sum1 use his car for the weekend and he didnt want them messing up his system, so we were putting everything back in and everything works fine exept for the sub woofer, it was ok then whne he started the car to drop me home, there was no bass, the subwoofer is the same as mine, an audiobahn alum12q

there are 4 pairs of negative and positive outputs on the subwoofer, what he did was the got speaker wire and hooked the wire to a pair of terminal on one side of the subwoofer and ran them to another pair of terminals also on the subwoofer, and the then ran wires from another two terminals to the amp, the amp is a rockford fosgate 500bd mono amp

i dont know if what he did was right, but there is not bass any more..there was bass when we hooked it up..i dunno where it went, and the sub doesent look blown or anything

i hope i didnt confuse any1

thanks for any help

wire the sub into a 2 ohm load

go negative to negative
positive to positive

and then stick another two wires into one of the voicecoils (negative/positive) and then those go to the amp.

its all good now, we wired the sub right, we just took off all the wires goin to the amp and reconnected them, and it started working, i'm almost positive that it was the little blue wire that goes to the deck that wasent connected to the amp properly (what does that wire do?).

its called a remote wire

to turn on the amp you need a proper power source (batter), a ground, and a remote.

the remote is any small 12V signal just telling the amp to turn on.
