Stop Trunk Rattle Mod, -Caused by Bass-Practically Free!!!
This Mod will get rid of almost all of the trunk vibrations without anykind of sound matting.
Ok...since a few people have asked to know how to stop trunk rattling...i've decided to create a how to.
Things You Will Need:
1. About 4" of rubber air hose...same diameter and thickness as the hose that comes with the Dream Speed Air Intake kit.
2. Two wood screws...1" to 1.5" should do.
3. Electric Drill...the drill bit has to be a little thinner than the screws.
NOTE: I'm hoping to have pics of this mod up here by this weekend...so if any of this confuses you, just hold tight till then.
Step1: Locate the area on the lid itself just behind the locking mechanism.
Step2: Line up the hose up against the back of the locking mechanism.
Step3: Mark on the lid two spots to predrill the holes.
Step4: Also mark on the hose in the same area to predrill holes.
Step5: Predrill the holes in the hose and the lid.
Step6: Screw the hose into the lid. (DO NOT drill the screws all the way flush with the lid...just screw enough to snugg the hose into the lid.)
(WARNING: IF you open and close your trunk lid excessively, this may not be the best mod for you, this will create extra strain on the locking mechanism....otherwise it will be just fine.)

i can't really see that stoping much rattle at all, unless your speakers aren't booming that hard, i know i would need way more padding than that to stop my rattles, i'm still thinking of the expanding foam and spray on rubber idea.
