Stock (I think) Deck Question

Is the Sony XR-1400 stock on a 1996 Civic CX? I'm not sure, it is an am/fm/cass deck that is in my car right now but the owner's manual instructions for setting the time do not match the deck. It mentions a time button but there is no such button on my deck. Does anyone know how to set the time on this deck? Thanks.

Oh, well it does say Sony so I guess its not stock then. I wonder how to set the time if there is no time button.

It's probably one of those old decks where you keep the car in neutral, press the brake, and fiddle with the seek/scan buttons.

^^
I just tried that and I couldn't get it to change the time. I tried holding the seek/scan buttons, tapping them, pressing them at the same time, everything but it didn't work. Any other ideas?

google search the model of your deck or search it on the sony site and see if you can get an online manual..

I checked the Sony site, there are a lot of manuals, but none for my deck. I guess I will have to keep adding 2 hours and 34 minutes to the time until I get a new deck (if I get a new deck-front lip and tint come first in my books).

go to a sony dealer, hopefully someone who was an audio installer in the 80s will still remember how to program your deck. LOL or just get a stock am/fm deck appropriate to your model vehicle.
