Someone try this!

I was wondering if a skull cap would fit over the armrest console and make a nice cover ...

If so, where can I get a dirt cheap one?

Or does he mean those small motorcycle helmets that just cover the top of your head as opposed to a full helmet.

haha ... to clarify, I was thinking of the African-American, Usher-style beanie caps. I think they're called skull caps, right?

Kind of looks like a Jewish yarmulk, but bigger.

Just wondering - sure beats paying $20 for an armrest cover. Unless someone has something more creative to suggest!

Ha I was right... speak the lingo boys!

Ya, it's a skull cap... keeps the bean warm in the cool african desert

BTW, they are for sure more than $20... I've seen them for $50.

That's a ridiculous price for something with so little material! You would think it's lingerie or something ...

it's about status... if you are willing to spend so much on so little, you must have bling to spare.

Okay, but back to the original question - would they make good armrest console covers?

Well, my seat covers are the diver-suit neoprene material. I got them off eBay and I highly recommend them. I like those skull caps because they wrap around to fit nicely. I don't know where to acquire that diver-suit material. Sewing it together seems easy, although I'm not that good of a seamstress

I might try the CT fabric paint, although this stuff is terrible for floor mats IMO.
