Si seat question

An interesting point was brought up about Si seats having different rails than the other models seats?/???
Is this true and if so what years does this affect?
I can't imagine Honda has different bolt points for different models....it doesn't make any sense for the assembly line

I just switched my stock CX front seats for SI ones. It was a perfect conversion from the 5th gen coupe si to my 5th gen hatch.

So where the problem appears to be is if one tries to move the seats to different model year civics....ie. 1988-91 Si seats into a 92 and up civic. Am I correct in this assumption?

This has absolutely nothing to do with the original question, but anyway I was cleaning out me '98 Si when I took a look under the driver's seat and noticed a wire connected to the bottom-what is that???

Now this is only a guess, but I suspect that it could be the same wire they hook up to the heated seats in the 1.6 EL
