I could be wrong, but I think the only seats that just drop right in are EK seats. What seats are you looking into getting, it's really not that big a deal to swap over the rails.

the fronts aren't the big issue it's the rears. lol

EL seats will swap in without mods.

yes the rears are the same as well, check ur civic. Put the key in, if you can flip 3/4 of the backseat down then it's the same. Not alot of Hondas do that AFAIK.

EL seats => '96-00 civic coupe:

Fronts: bolts right up 100% fit
Rears : will not fit- seats are wider than the civic coupe's unless you cut out some of the plastic side panels.

I had a set on my '99 civic coupe.

so i guess its better if i reupholster the rear seats professionally with leather.

That's probably the best way to get a perfect fit. I got a quote from this guy in Brampton...he wanted $1500 for fronts, rears, armrest and both door panels(all genuine leather) for my '99 civic coupe. If you get a good deal on your rears, let me know.
