I've done headliner removal before on my Saturn. Have an extra person handy and work with the greatest of diligence.

It's real easy putting it back in. Just make sure everything is put back in the way you took it out and you should have no problems. I've had my interior apart numerous times and it all went back together again.

And if you have plastic tabs like the ones in an EG.... you'll probably need new ones but putting it back is much easier than taking it off.....

My headliner is in the basement right now. I’m letting the 3M automotive trim and vinyl heat resistant glue set on my new vinyl.

I found some sweet vinyl that colour matches perfectly to my window pillar and crown trim Its gonna look so pimp, and the vinyl is nice to clean, it looks nice all armouralled up!

Im thinking about waiting and doing dynomat before reinstalling it... I’ve done the complete removal / install myself 2 times due to a sunroof leak. Its a piece of cake, just have patience.

Here’s how I did it:

1) remove sun visors with Robinson or flathead screwdriver(2 screws per side)

2) Remove sun visor clips (place where the end of the visors click into) do this by twisting the clips 90 degrees either way, then they pop out.

3) Remove rearview mirror.. this ones a PITA.. take a flathead screwdriver and pry gently on the plastic cover on either side, not front not back. Then the 3 screws will be exposed for mirror removal.

4)Holy **** handle removal / rear coat hanger removal, there’s a little cover flap on each of these items, pry them open gently with a very small flathead screwdriver, to expose the star/ flat head screws.

5) Center dome light removal. With your hands gently squeeze the clear plastic bulb cover together to pop it off, then there is a small star head screw inside remove that and the light will fall, let it hang by the wires it wont get damaged.

6) removal of headliner push through buttons ( k first time I did this I got frustrated and clipped them with side cutters and bought 2 new ones from Honda. However if you have one of those slotted pry bar screwdrivers meant for removing door panels you can gently pry at them very slowly in order not to brake them to reuse, they are the main holding points for the headliner so be careful with them or go buy new ones before installation. I’m telling you don’t waste your time trying to pry them out with a screwdriver it wont happen.

7) remove seatbelt bolts(top) open bolt cover remove bolts (14mm socket)

8) remove rear crown trim right above rear window, pry pull, whatever its clipped in...

9) Remove windshield pillars, pry pull its all clipped in.

10) Remove / or at least loosen the trim that’s above the rear passenger side windows.

Finished, I did that from memory hopefully I didn’t miss anything

Good luck
