Well I have installed them, ordered all originanal Honda parts from the states, locks, switches, harneses and 2 five pin relays, tapped into the harneses, tested all on the bech and then installed them.
It took about 10 hours all together to install and wire, the front doors I found it easier to run the wires from the door to the pillar by removing the door, "5 bolts". It cost about $400 Can. that included shipping and duty, which was basically PST and GST, the install looks like it was there drom the factory, this gets my family off my back.

You mean HST? Laugh.

You can order Automatic kits from ebay for < $100. Good work on the new door locks, and the DIY. I installed the ebay ones on my 96' Hatch, then I lost the remote for car alarm... Ha!

Also, Welcome to TCC!

I looked at after market but that would mean altering the cables that run to the locks and are not reliable. Parts I bought were all original Honda parts, locks , harnnesses and passenger and driver door switches, and it looks as if they were installed at the factory.

Good point! Just some people would rather pay 1/4 of the cost :P

I have learned in life you get what you pay for and most of the time taking the lower cost route ends up costing you a lot more and end up unhappy and doing the job over.
I wanted a basic commuter vehicle and trying to save a few dollars ended up doing all this extra work to get something I took for granted how much I appreciated, I have had power locks on all my previous vehicles, moving up to the next trim level that comes with power locks, would probably have cost me about the same when you consider the cost of parts and my labour, but on the other hand I enjoy working on Cars and taking on projects like this and getting good results.
