I have a 97 EX sedan where the power door locks always keep the two front doors locked. I have to turn the key from the outside and lift the handle simultaneously to get in. To get out, I have to pull on the little post and pull the interior handle. It sucks even more to let a passenger out. If it's my wife, I just reach over and pull the post and she pulls the interior handle (while I sneek a kiss). BUT if it's a buddy in the car, then there is NO WAY I am reaching over!!! It still looks bad to get out of the car and let him out from the outside (looks like a date).

QUESTIONS:

1) Anyone have this problem?
2) Honda wants $163 for each power lock unit. (that's over $300 to restore both locks) and I want a cheaper solution. So where EXACTLY can I get cheaper replacement parts?
3) I know it's not a electrical problem because I have stripped the doors down and triple checked all connections (and the back doors are fine)


please help I am getting tired legs and sore thumbs.
