a 93 DX hatch. I could found the obvious front speakers but the manual speaks of rear ones I cannot find for the life of me.
There's also wires in the back of the stereo that lead to the back but I have no clue where!
So, does the 5th gen HB come with 2 or 4 speaker outputs? If 4, where's the back ones? Thanks

I think the Si had speakers in the back by the rear armrests, thats where my buddy has speakers at least. I know that Gathers made a dual speaker replacement for that panel, they come up on ebay once in a while expensive tho.

Only the si's come with speakers in the back. (or so I'm lead to believe)
Meaning, you only have 2 speakers

I have a 92 si and it has no rear speakers. I believe that only the later models and coupes have them. Dont quote me though!

you only have two speakers, I can say that for sure....if youre looking for the wires, and this may come in handy for all those who want to put rear speakers in their 5th gen HB, right above the rear armsets, there's a removable plastic piece....take it out.....now to find the wires, it is just a matter of reaching inside and the wire should be taped to the metel at the very bottom of the well....if you dont find it right away, dont despair...its there...just keep looking and be patient....once you find it, pull it out from under the piece of tape and now you have a signal wire!!!!!

Sweet civic_fan. I had a suspecion they were there, I took that panel off many times but never found them. If you say they're taped, I will find them... even if it means using a metal detector.

The rims are made by konig. I love em. Man my car is dirty. Oh yeah, thats an old pic, it has side skirts now

I don't think any 5th gen hatchbacks came with STOCK rear speakers.. only coupes and sedans have rear speakers..

I think it may be an option actually. Much like the rear wiper or other items that show up on some models/years but not others.

Yea its prolly an option cause my buddy has a rear wiper on his dx stock.

I got a dx stock with a wiper too but I've seen others without one.

my dx has rear speakers but they are aftermarket pioneers, the previous owner had them installed he also has the rear speaker oem grill plastic thingys hehe he gave me the stock ones and the grill ones
