Hood Latch

I wanted to go open the hood today and when i reached for the hood latch, i received no feeback from it. When i pull on it, the hood did not open. Does anyone know how to fix the connection between the cable and the hood?

get somebody to push down on the hood while you pull on the latch...hood should pop then...somekind of spring is broken or u need a new cable

This may sound crazy but push on the hood while pull the latch... the gap is only the width of a finger and I don't think the hood can be push down any further...
