Reasoning behind this project vs Trusted MDF or Fiberglass:

1.) Very strong, even stronger than a standard square box MDF enclosure
2.) Lite weight (sonotubes are very light)
3.) Cheap (whole setup cost less than $15 including MDF caps
4.) Interesting shape, althought harder to make custom into your trunk, they do have their own unique shape

So there you have it, you can get cheap, lite weight, strong all in one
