On there website all there subs are Kappa perfects. Is there such thing as just a kappa? I thought anything Kappa was high quality and the "reference" was lower quality?

Thanks
Jeff

ALPINE!

Im running some crappy *** "Precision Power (Power Series)" didnt really realize that they were 8ohms each cuz they were in a sealed box but meh...If I face them the right way I'll get them pounding.

Alpine is sick, infinitys are cool.

Kenwood and pioneer make GREAT component and regular speakers..pioneer for decks. But Sony sucks all around lol.

Hope uve got a good amp...dont cheap out on wiring. And oh...
For all of those who wonder if Dynamating is any good...
Get the sound system in the car first ...if uve got alot of vibrations Id suggest getting dynamated. My car is dynamated all around the trunk, roof, sides and doors. And I love every inch of it!

Where they the Infinity reference or the Kappas? MSRP alone is $350 USD on the Kappas but only $129 on the reference. How would they go for $75 each?

Umm PPI is certainly not crap, if you have them hooked up properly and they are in a properly designed box and being fed the right amount of wattage then they should sound very crisp.

PPI is really good. From people who know their **** who I've talked to, PPI is always really good.

Hold up...I dont understand this...If subs are 8 ohms, mounting them inverted will make them sound better?

Hmm I never knew that.

he doesnt mean inverting them.

he means like make it so the subs in the box are facing the rear, like towards the back of the car.

that should make it a little louder and/or sound better because the waves have a longer distance to travel or something like that, i didnt really read up on why its like that, all i know is that is a fact for most trunk cars.

Oh you mean like instead of making the subs face the front of the car they face the back?

Isnt that always how your supposed to have it? I never in my life had my subs facing the seat

each car responds diff so you gotta test and see, but generally 9 out of 10 it works best close to the rear of the trunk, facing the back, but this way sucks cause you loos alot of usable trunk space.

Hey,

Does any one have a link to the program for calculating box sizes? The guy at the store wants $250 bones to make one and I got all the stuff to do it so Ill give it a shot. Also what can a port be made of if I decide to port it? PVC pipe?

Thanks
Jeff
