HELP with CAR SOUND SYSTEM

Hi,

I am new to car audio, and i was interested in getting a little bit more sound from my stock system, with a little more bass and less crackle when i pump my beats. I have a sony xplod deck in my car... but as wondering what would be a good low cost set up... ie 1 amp, sub, and speakers? and what brands are good for the money? i've been surfing ebay and been finding alot of parts (speakers, subs, amps), from brands such as pioneer, alpine, sony...

if neone can help me out.. plz advise...

thanks

if u want bass pick up a single 10" sub with an amp and replace your front speakers with some co-axials. To install the stuff you will need an amp wiring kit (rca's, power wire, speaker wire, fuse holder etc).

As for brands, try to stick to the major name brands.

i suggest something well rounded

that isn't just alot of lows or alot of mid/highs

get a 3 channel or 4 channel amp

run the fronts off it and a small 8" sub or bass cannon like a bazooka tube

dynamat the doors and set the crossovers right

with a setup like that you should be able to play really loud and still be real clear

if you chince on your amp u'r gonna be regretting it...if you spend a lot of money on something in your system it should be your amp...

sony decks aren't that great to begin with...i would suggest pioneer or alpine....

subs...maybe a 10" alpine type r or infinity reference sub...

components will run you about 300...

I agree with limitz, you can skimp on most stuff but don't play around with the amp....trust me. it's a lesson I learned the hard way
