Question Help/Adviced Needed/Where: Replace ShiftKnob/Pedals

Just picked up my EP...

I never see the car clearly on the test drove, but the shiftknob were not original and not installed properly. And secondly, the pedals are screwed with aftermarket big pedals.

I want it back to ORIGINAL...

Where can i do it cheaply other than doing it at dealer?

Or should i go back to dealer to do it since they won't able to charge me too much since they know how to do it and it just unscrew a few screws and replace the drilled oem pedal pads with new ones.

Replacing the original shiftknob might be harder since they gotta pull this aftermarket **** out.

So where should i go within the GTA?

Midas? Can Tire? I don't want go to private garages since i don't really trust themmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm

Or can someone here do it for me with some labours and beer?

Arhhhhhhhhhhh it really bothers meeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee

Any advice is appreciatedddddddddddddddddddddd

if you have time to take it to the dealer, then you have time to do it yourself and save the money. it's doesnt take too long to take out the pedals and the ****. the dealer will charge you hourly rate by the book. so if the book saids 1/2 hr, they charge you that much even if it's only a 5 min job. and of course, there are the minimum charge of an hr kinda thing too.

i dont know what pedals you have, but it's usually 4 screws per pedal then they'll come loose. as for the ****, diff brand have diff method of attaching it. if it's not screw in like OEM ****, then it's like MOMO with 3 pointy set screws, loosen them enough then unscrew the ****. and to make the package nicer, sometimes there is a ring on the bottom of the **** that you have to unscrew first in order to get to the set screws.

honestly, it's not hard.

but if you want to be lazy, be my guest. it's your money

i think it takes me longer to reply to this thread then to remove the pedals AND shift ****, but then i type slow

Swapping them back is easy enough to do it yourself, just some screws and thats it.

After removing everything get the pedal covers from the dealership, you know the stock rubber ones and cost about $5 each.

I think I know what kinda shifter **** u have...
on the very top of it, are there allan key screws? if so, do NOT unscrew these, cause they don't screw in to anything. If u have the stick shifter i'm talkin about, there's a part of the shift **** that u unscrew first, located at the very bottom of the shift ****. Unscrew this bottom piece like a bottle cap. Unscrew it backwards, since the rotation is upside-down. Sorta like an upside-down bottle cap. If this works, u'll find three alan key screws that would have been hidden by this cap. Just unscrew those, and u should get the **** out.
this works only with the one that i THINK u have.
Hope this helps. if it doesnt, u probably have a different kind.
