Head Unit Options
Hey y'all,
Just thinkin about gettin a new head unit in the near future. Just wondering on your thoughts. I have been a Pioneer kinda guy but am willing to change. In dash CD preferably and 2-4volt preouts.
Cheers

I personally will never use a kenwood deck again, I had nothing but problem with them.

Maybe I'll just stick with Pioneer. We'll have to see! It won't be for a while though. Possibly the end of the summer. I can't stand the HU that I have now. During the day you can't even see the display. It pisses me off every minute that I'm in the car!!

I would suggest you get something with at least a 4 volt out as the sound quality is much better IMO.

I have had 3 Pioneers and not a moments problem and 4 Sony decks with no problem. Kenwood was a nightmare and Clarion was either amazing or crap depending on which one I had.

kenwood problems
Don't be dissing kenwood. I'm running a 2001 model kenwood and its doing great.
It's pushing my stock speakers and they are sounding like never before. I tried pioneer and had some problems, my friend has an xplod and its a piece of crap. My other friend is running a pioner deh-2300 and it skips like crazy. Whatever works for you. I guess its just personal preference and experience though
ah well
my two cents worth
