ok its working now, it was taking so long to load. I was just going to put some good comments on that alarm. I have the 2000AS compustar with the blue remote and i have never had any problems. I recommend this alarm to anyone. The only problem is if you want the warranty to be valid you have to get it installed from a authurised installer.

What's the difference between the "blue" remote and the remote shown on the compustar site? (besides colour, of course)

Functionally, there is no difference. Different colours just represent different models years. Blue being the newest model.

Im intereseted in this.

I have a 2000 Civic SiR but have a aftermarket alarm installed (Viper). How much extra would it cost to replace with the compustar alarm/starter combo?

If it's too much, i'll just remove the alarm myself.

Also, It mention something about a Trunk Release however my car is not installed with a Trunk release actuator. Im assuming this function won't be installed on my car. Is there any way to buy a trunk release option, maybe at Honda or something??

Hey. im interested, can i call somebody. I don't wanna sign up in club accord jus to post one time.

Removing an exisiting aftermarket alarm will be around $50.
Trunk release was mentioned because it is a factory auxillary function on the stock alarm for accords. People just want to keep that handy function. If you don't have the wiring for trunk release, it will not be installed. Same goes for any other auxillary functions such as windows-up or down. If you don't have the exisiting wiring, you will be charged extra. I'm guessing around $30-50 for each auxillary function added.
Any more questions, just e-mail me.
