Easy mod....for security

FUEL CUT OFF SWITCH

Costs under 20 bucks at radio shack and should hold up those theives abit. Only took me about 30 min for install. It took that long because i had to find a spot to hide the switch.

:cough: :cough:

Just drill a small hole at one end, and attach a key chain to it. Get the ones that can be taken apart, that way the sensor doesn't have to be near the ignition lock.

A switch can be found.......and you also have to put it within reach so you would be able to turn it on.

With a magnetic switch, you can hide it behide the dash almost anywhere....as long as the magnetic field can penetrate the dash, and turn on the switch, then it will work. That is why I suggested a take-apart key chain to connect the magnet to. That way you can turn the ignition switch with one hand, and hold the magnet over the switch with the other hand.

I remember first seeing this type of set-up at a IASCA security compitition (how many of you remeber when those first came out). and it was on a black Trans Am. (this was back in the early 90's).

The guy would wave his little keychain magnet over the dash until he saw a little LED turn on. This ment that the switch was now on....then he was able to crank the car.

The cool thing about this, is when someone carjacks you or your car.

If they take the car, they will be in for a BIG surprise when they shut off the car.......as soon as they shut it off, they WON'T be able to restart it.

That magnetic switch is insanely cool. I wanna try that one day, once I get my alarm installed.
