I'm pretty sure I'm picking up a short shifter with bushings today, Mike (DumbasSi) told me by bushings are going, so I might as well get the short shifter.

My B&M was a little pricey but the shifts are short and crisp. I like your DIY Tego but personally i don't care about the shift **** in cars im happy with my stock one, there are a lot better things to spend my money on!

lol, so now
Ever since I bought my '99 Hatch...my shiftknob has always been bugging me because it is so ugly and "wimpy" looking. Some of you may ask, why not just buy a aftermarket shifter....my answer...why buy something thats going to the same thing and probably look cheap. Well I found a solution that improves the look of the shifter console. All you have to do is break the plastic ring/piece that is at the very top of the shift of the shiftboot, roll/pull the shifter boot up as much as you need and there you go...a brand new look to your shifter. Cheap too! For those of you that are concerned about, thats its going to fall back down...well its been 2 days and it fits very tight and snug, so far it looks its going to stay there. If you experience any problems...just apply a little bit of glue, or tape inside the boot.
doesn't apply anymore?

i'm glad you enjoy your new found short shifter, they're not as bad as you made them out to be after all are they?

nope! lol....

The throws are lot shorter than I thought. Feels like the throws are only 2inches, nice and solid as well with the new bushings. Now I just need an SiR shift ****.
