Okay new update.

- In the process of finishing up the bottom up to the seatbelt area.
- Got some more cuts; my fingers hurts.
- Finished my first tub of BB.
- Opening my 2nd tub of BB.

I am wanting to do my roof now. Anyone know how to get the roof off?

Thanks. It's been a long and learning experience but it would seem it would be worth the hassle. Gonna do the hood after I get a motor swap inside.

Nevermind y'all. I have a good glimpse of how to do it since my car is already stripped. Pull out the rubber thingys on the sides and un hook screws on the sides and disable the seatbelt and pop off the screws on the roof panel. Should be easy sailing after.

New update.

- It's coming along nicely. My body is sore though.
- Today I finished the roof. The roof before when I tapped on top sounded like a dinggg.....Now it sounds like a low thump = COOL!
- My second roll is almost done since I'm almost done everything.
- Gonna do hood after swap goes in.
- Now I only have to do some final touch ups and done! WOOOOOTTT. It's gonna be way quieter than stock. I can't believe Honda didn't put **** inside the car...LOL. It basically has no/little of sound insulation.

Im gonna update my Imagestation with pics for peeps to see what I have done so far...It's MAD TIGHT yO. LOL

Last update..

My car is done! Well 3.7/4 done. I finished every and put everything back. Now after the engine swap all I have to do is put some BB on the hood and Im done.

My car is quiet and when knocked on the metal (especially the roof) it thumps and doesnt rattle. It feels quiet too. I start the engine (the engine is broken BTW) and all I hear is the engine going, nothing more. I'm gonna go ask my Dad or uncle to drive me around a bit to hear the difference. hehe. No license yet but stufying for G1..haha

I recommend everyone to try BB out! It's a learning experience. I advise you to keep track what screws are for what and where they screw to because I have some left over screws! LOL.

I have one problem though. One side of the rear seats float up...lol. I guess it's because the way my uncle bended the rusted metal clip...lol. Its okay I guess because someone is just gonna sit on it right?

I am so happy

Yes Si Veloz, still have to do the hood but only after the motor swap is inside. I say after because if I put it on now, it might get dirty again if those guys touch it, etc with their dirty hands. I still have to wash it down though...

One problem I fear I may have is the Brown Bread falling off after the hood is heated up because of the engine use. I plan to hopefully use some sort of screws or nail to help hold the BB up on the hood. I'm not really sure yet. Hopefully you have any ideas?

Sorry Si Veloz, I still don't understand your question of why. Why not? What do you mean it's completely external? What is? I just need you to help me understand what your question means and what exactly are you refering to. Thanks

i think he means that when your in your car you won't notice the sound difference from your hood, thonly way you would be able to tell a difference would be if you had your car on and standing outside next to it, and how often do you do that, IMO it would be pointless as well, like if your gonna do that why not do the fenders and front bumoer as well.

ya, what he said

the whole idea is to remove vibration that will have an effect on the internal shell of the car (ie. everything you've done already...roof, floor, firewal, fenderwells etc)
doing the hood would be redundant as it has no effect on your enjoyment (quietness) inside the car

Oh, now it starts making sense. I think your right...I havent done the part in the hood where it is black in the front, which I think is called the firewall. But I did everything else.

If that is true, why do other comapnies like Acura, Toyota, Mercedes have insulation in their hoods then? Must make SOME difference...

Anywho...I might still try it, sorry.

Ah, so I would have to take out the whole center console? Wow. That seems like too big of a job. I should have did that once the car was already stripped! ARGHH

I will do the hood after and let everyone know.

You are planning on Putting a D15B right?

After all that dynamat your car is going to be slower than ever.

Don't waste your time on the hood.. It will not rattle, there's no need whatsoever man. On top of that with the high temps in the engine bay it can't be good for the dynamat.

Don't take off the whole center console. Just cover what you can from underneath. Take off the just the center piece, trust me, you are wasting time on things that are negligible.

Haha thanks for the input man!

I guess I won't do the hood after all. True, true, the temps won't be good for it.

I only put in like ~30 pounds on it - haha...lol
