Question BOX question *help*

So I just bought an 8" subwoofer and the specs for a ported box is 1. cu ft .now heres the deal I can get a box from my buddy thats vented for dirt cheap but that box is only .85 cu ft. My question is will I honestly notice the difference in the to?
Thanks

you're probably not going to notice a huge difference with an 8" sub .. if the box is your buddies just tell him to let you try it out, and if it sounds good then its fine

^^ yup.
It won't make a huge difference. All the subs I installed for people and myself never really cared about the size of the box. Ofcourse with incorrect dimensions of the box you will not get the full potential but I always cheap out on these things and never have I been unsatisfied with the outcome.
