Best Anti-theft Device?
#2
best anti theft device.
is to leave the car at the dealership inside the show room with 20 cars surrounding it and no one ever visit the show room.
or sleep inside the car with a shot gun.
no such this as the best anti theft device.
its 95 percent got to do with the way it is wired up and rigged

usually a combination of things is better then just one approach to complete car security.
try two way alarm, club, steering wheel-pedal lock, two sets of diff wheel locks, park in garage, security cameras, immobilizer, tilt sensor, back up siren w/ it's own power source, etc

correct.
nothing is 100% theft-proof, but the best u can do is LAYER the security on:
1. alarm
2. backup siren
3. immobilizers (relays) <- very very underrated, make sure u get these
3. tilt sensor
4. motion sensor
5. club
6. gps tracking
...
and so on.
how far down the line varies on your $budget and how much you want to secure your car.

3 very hungry pitbulls tied to the steering wheel should work. But if someones really wants to take your car, there's really nothing which can be done. If you take your steering wheel out, or computer even with a alarm who's to say they just wont tow it. Get good insurance and tell them about your rims, and system. you may pay $50 more a month, but its better than getting market value only for your car.

I think its important to consider what your driving to and what mods are done to it as well as where you live. Not many thieves are gonna go out of there way to come and take a tow truck to get your 10 year old civic for its rims and stereo, see what im saying? That why in most cases a decent paging alarm with a good loud siren, etc is good enough to stop your usual rim and stereo thiefs cause thats what most of them want. Now if you driving an Integra Type-R then thats a different story.

good start is alarm with back-up siren and interior sirens (110db), the club on the wheel and try to park in areas where the car cannot be towed (ie with a car behind yours at home) and the GPS tracking will help if it is stolen, but others have said...it really depends on the car. Integra Type R, Civic SIR i'd go all out. Heavily modded, go all out. Intake and rims...alarm is about all i'd go.
