Can i just tap into the wires that are running to the siren under my hood to power an identical siren?

If not, what wires can i tap into?

it wont work

you need to tap into the reverse position circuit if your driving an auto (its in the gear selector in the floor) or on the same reverse selector circuit that hooks on the tranny

there both just NO circuits that close, so remember that, you could use a relay if you wanted

oh thats what you meant

not a back up as in reverse siren but an actual backup unit ok lol

you could just wire the siren in paralell with the other alarm wire, id check your manual to see what load it can take on the alarm output, maybe theres a spot for an additional unit on the brain
