The kicker brand is good but highly overrated, there are lots of other brands out there that will kick the crap out of kicker at half the price.

the speaker specs cant tell the entire story

the t/s specification tell a whole lot about the driver but cannot fully predict how loud it will play, it can jsut give a good idea

No, it wont tell you how loud it will play but it will tell you how much power is needed to make that woofer move. The only way to tell how loud it will be is by trying it out.

i am looking to get a system in my car too... what is a good driver... and excuse my ignorance... but what is spl and sq? I want a system that will pound hard... i wanna be heard down the street but at the lost cost possible. don`t really know what that means...but any suggestions would be great. Davis, you sound like a kaption enthusiast. Are they really that hype?

Why does everyone want to be heard down the damn street? Heres a thought, instead of pissin off people in every neighbourhood you drive through and baiting out your car to theives try to keep the bass inside the car! I have heard plenty of setups that are quiet on the outside and loud as all hell on the inside. Just look at green goblins setup.

Spl stands for sound pressure level and Sq stands for sound quality. Yes, Kaption is awesome and also affordable.

I'd have to agree with Blair. I can't stand ppl who rip down the street with their systems pumping. What pises me off the most is when they do it at night when I try to sleep! Damn through streets!

PS: Hey davis, check ur pm.

I'd rather my bass be louder from the outside than on the inside. I like to **** people off with very loud subs at 4 am...especially when they hate it already.

I love the attention...its fun to see heads turn from a block away...even if they like it or are talking **** they're still looking hahaha

I wouldnt feel at all bad if your neighbours keyed the **** out of your car, or if your system got stolen.

Their spl subs will take 1000 watts so they can take power.

Can I ask why everyone is buying Subs and amps off of ebay??? Wouldnt you rather hear the quality of it, arent you scared that it wont work properly or you'll get a months use out of it and then it will die, personally I wouldnt take the risk, regardless of what the ebay seller says. And Fug you need to figure out how much your willing to spend first then start looking.

i bought a couple amps off ebay, one was from lockdown and the other was from a member of a caraudio forum

your right about the risk and stuff, and thats why i prefer to buy locally and its a lot less hassle too.

i guess people buy off ebay all the time because the prices are really cheap

Did you know that buying from e-bay gets you no warranty from any reputable manufacturer. All the companies that I deal with have specifically said that selling on the net is not permitted and doing so will result in losing my rights to sell their product. If you notice most products sold on e-bay will have no serial number or have had the serial number tampered with so that it it is not traceable to the seller.Bottom line is buy at your own risk.

yep absolutely correct
i know of only one ebay seller that is an authorized dealer

edit: and even then, you gotta ship it to them for warranty work and pay for them to ship to you too lol, so its pointless to bank on the warranty even if they claim to give one
