Hi,
right now I have an alpine 1va-c800 in dash monitor w/cd player. Yes I know this is an old school unit, I picked it up a few years ago. Anyways I was looking at getting a new one, but I was also interested to know if any of the other brains from the different models (iva-c800,cva1000,cva1005,etc..)would work w/ the monitor. It has the round ai-net cables, so the new brain would need to have the same.

Is it the brain that determines the display on the monitor or will it not make a difference? just wondering if anyone has had any experince w/ the subject.
