Alpine iDA-X300

does anyone know if this unit plays mp3's on the USB Memory sticks ??

Are thumb drive & memory sticks the same ?

I may be wrong but isn't a thumb drive like a USB device and a memory card like a SD or trans flash card.

If that is the case thumb drive are better because they are cheaper and come in larger storage sizes

well i have a usb memory stick with a 2 gb card , but anyhow it does work ,I tested it out at the store, so thanks for the reply ,

I was referring to the general idea, the thumb drive, flash card, memory stick all are in general common names for disks on the go. Thumb drive is a slang that has become commonly used.

why not get the 9886 instead? it has USD and an Ipod cable. I just bought one and I love it.

the Alpine 9886 is 299 at most places and has the usb and ipod cord to wire to your glove box. It has triple 4 volt preouts for the subs and has a lot of great features which are easy to use.
