Which HU do you think i should buy?
1) Pioneer DEH-7600 ($300 tax-in)
2) Alpine CDA-9831 ($400 tax-in)

I DONT plan to add amplifiers...only change the HU and maybe the speakers later on...thats about it...

So which is the best unit for me in terms of functionality and price?
Pioneer costs about $100 less...

i say alpine because ive had a bad experience with pioneer.....if you plan on taking off the face plate alot then stay away from pioneer. The opening mechanism is very loose and it only makes it worse by taking it off

i would take alpine any day over pioneer...except for their in dash screens..

everyone here is for alpine but i'll say Ive had a lot of decks including alpine but i still stick to pioneer, however I only dealt wid the high models and now i have an indash, same thing goes for indash too, i would only buy a pioneer
