When I go to start my car, I put the clucth down and go to crank, nothing happens, but my back up siren goes off??

Anybody have any ideas?

I have a compustar pro2wfmas alarm, it seems to be fine. The car is not dead as the radio still works and the alarm still functions.

Got it fixed, turns out it was the battery. I coudent hear the car trying to crank over the back up siren. Once I turned the siren off, I heard it. Jumped the car and I'm good.

Now to see if I need a new battery, it's only 3 years old...
