8th gen seats

Hey all,

I am just curious if an 06-08 civic Si front seats would be able to fit in an EK coupe. Let me know if you know if it will work, thanks!

Im not sure what the 06-08 rails look like, but Im guessing you'll have to fab up some kind of mounts or soild mount the seat.

gahh im so confused on this, I have never taken out seats before so like are the rails welded in or just bolted in, like is it hard to take out rails and put new rails in? :S I sat in my buddies 08 Si and fell in love with those seats how they hug you. And my Ek seats, the bolsters are basically gone from who ever owned the car before me :S But those new Si seats are amazing! I want them so bad haha. Just wish someone on here has swapped them already to let me know what needs to be done.

the rails are bolted to the floor, and rails are bolted to the seats.

unbolt your seats, then unbolt the rails, see if they line up on the new seats (witch I highly dout they will), so you'll have to fab up some type of brackets to bolt the EK rails to.

You might have to weld up a new bracket, so I would call a shop and see if they can swap it for you.. or maybe someone off this site could do it for you.

oh, if its bolting up i could fab something up. Is there a way to tell measurements on both sets of seats to see if the backs will fit?...where i am getting them they wont part out the rears from the fronts, so if im forced to get the backs i would like them to fit also lol

the seat rails will def not fit and you most likely won't be able to swap the seat rails I know on s2000 seats you can swap the seat pans but that ain't easy and it's very involved

it may be just swapping the seat pans but i doubt iut on the newer seats i need to get my hands on a pair

I can get u a full set out of an 07 si coupe. They are mint with airbags intact but won't be cheap and likely won't fit lol

Yeah, i doubt u can get me the front and backs for the price im getting them for. lol Which is why i want to know if the fronts will be able to fit at least, and the backs i could always just store in my basement if there is no way of them fitting at all. Or maybe give the rears to my dad for his 05 SI-G.

Are the seats to new that nobody has done a swap like this before? :S

Well a buddy of mine said that i would just need to make custom rails for the fronts, so for sure i want the fronts done, the rears i couldn't care too much about cuz im never sitting back there anyways
